Problem with words, they change


Guessing "astronauts" was chosen for that classical connotation of adventure with risk, eg, Jason and the Argonauts. Now, even the space shuttle folks don't feel like "astronauts" much, more "scientists in space" stuff. Give Star Trek credit though "where no man has gone before" carries that original meaning.

Yeah, I kinda got in a bend over the definition of "mental health" (maybe that was "mental illness") a little while ago over the Osaka brouhaha wanting to reserve it for more serious stuff, But boom, saw a tv ad for some drug for your "mental health." I'm the one who needed to adjust, when it's in tv ads, it's in the common speech or about to be.
